Please Note
This course is designed for individuals seeking certification to CSA Standard W178.2 Level 3. CSA Standard W178.2 requires candidates to have 4 years of visual welding inspection experience as a certified Level 2 Welding Inspector before they are eligible to upgrade to Level 3.
Course Organization
This course contains 7 units, each divided into several lessons. Within each lesson, you will find narrated content, learning interactions, and short non-graded Knowledge Check assessments to gauge your understanding of the material. You should complete the units in the order presented. At the end of each, you will complete a unit exam that reviews the key concepts covered in the chapter of the textbook.
The Final Exam is intended to simulate a certification exam environment. You will need a camera-equipped device to attempt this Final Exam. The questions in the Exam are based on the content in all the course chapters. This exam is a closed-book examination and is monitored through AI. No reference material is allowed.
Course Schedule
This course runs for 120 days. Â During this time, you can access all of the training materials at any time.
If most of the material is relatively new to you, plan to spend about 76 hours completing the lessons, reviewing the print materials, and studying for the exam.Â
Final Íâ¹úÃÀŮɫÇ鯬 Exam
Upon successful completion of the Chapter Exams and Final Course Exam, students will qualify for the short version of the Level 3 Closed Book Exam to be certified as a Level 3 Inspector under CSA W178.2. Candidates must submit the application forms (Forms 450 and 455) to the CWB to be eligible to write the certification examinations. Forms must be received 10 days prior to your exam date.Â
